The primary objective of AFPVA is to unite veterans who have served in the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and offer them assistance and solidarity during challenging times, with a focus on alleviating mental distress, addressing social isolation, and mitigating economic hardships.
Transitioning out of the AFP can leave former members feeling uncertain about their future. Having been part of the AFP, which encompasses both a career and a way of life, adapting to a new environment can prove challenging for some individuals. AFPVA aims to provide support and guidance to these veterans as they navigate this transition period.
The AFP Veterans Association is a national organisation. If you have an AFP service number you are most welcome to join our Association.
